April 2001: Spotlight On Josh Mohr
If you surf the Huntington Pier with any regularity, you are sure to have seen ASP Longboard Professional Josh Mohr in action. Josh is a young HB local whose smooth, controlled style stands out under all conditions, and has earned him high contest placings on the world tour, and top ten ranking. Josh spends endless hours in the water, even in the stormy conditions that have characterized many days this winter.

Josh's shaper of choice is Bob Pearson, and Josh credits Bob with shaping boards that have helped push the limits of modern longboarding -- Bob has similarly worked with other pros like Moriarty, Tanner and Flea. Josh rides 9'0" twins and tris that incorporate his signature full-nose pulled-pintail designs.
At Fifth Street Surf Shop, Josh's thin, full-template, ultra-light tri-fin is our hottest-selling stick. We have a hard time keeping them in stock! We also handle Josh's used boards, which have allowed many of our customers to make the plunge to a radical twin or tri at a reasonable price.
Stop by and see what the excitement is all about. Watch some video of Josh in action, check out his cutting-edge boards and have a look at Josh's own line of clothing -- well, cool tees and hats anyway!
